August 9-10, 2019. Dansalan College Foundation attended for the first time the YAPIS Festival 2019 held at Robinsons Place Iligan.
YAPIS Festival is a yearly inter-school competition in Iligan City that is being organized by the Youth Advocators Productive Integrated Services, Incorporated which highlights literary and cultural contests. This helps the participants to improve their skills and enhance their confidence when competing with other schools.
For this year’s YAPIS Festival, YAPIS Inc. was in partnership with the Department of Education, Robinsons Place, Bacsarpa, and Jollibee. Dansalan College Foundation joined the Quiz Bowl for the High School category. The school’s representatives were Lady Johainee Banocag, Princess Ayera Dicali, and Jazeem Macapintal with their coach, Mr. Arvin Dupa.
On August 3, 2019, the elimination round for the Quiz Bowl Competition for the High School Division was held at Iligan City Public Plaza. They got the 6th place of the Top 20 qualifiers for the final round. In the final round, they won 2nd place.
